About the Role

Our client is in a significant growth phase and is building an internal AI capability to support and scale its services across the organization. We are seeking an AI Implementation Lead to play a critical, hands-on role in bringing existing AI solutions into a Azure environment and scaling them to real-world business use. This role is focused on implementation, integration, and execution - not research or governance. You will work with existing AI/ML models developed by internal engineers and ensure they are properly fine-tuned, integrated, and deployed in Azure so they can be adopted by internal teams and end clients. You will act as the technical SME bridging AI engineering, product, and third‑party vendors in a fast-paced, lean team environment.

What You’ll Do

• Own the implementation of AI solutions within a Azure environment, taking models from development to production
• Work with internal ML Engineers to:
• Fine-tune existing AI/ML models
• Ensure models behave as expected when exposed to real users and applications
• Translate AI solutions into scalable, production-ready implementations that can be rolled out across the organization
• Design and execute Azure-first AI integration strategies, using:
• Azure Machine Learning
• Azure AI Services
• Azure-native integration and cloud services
• Lead the technical integration of AI capabilities such as:
• Chatbots connected to large language models
• AI-powered services embedded into internal and client-facing systems
• Act as the primary technical owner for third-party AI vendor:
• Validate technical design and output
• Ensure vendor work aligns with the architecture and business goals
• Collaborate closely with a Product Manager, who will translate technical solutions to business stakeholders
• Develop implementation strategies that allow AI solutions to scale efficiently as the business continues to grow and expand locations
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and iterate on AI integrations to improve performance, reliability, and usability
• Provide technical guidance and direction within a small AI team while remaining a hands-on contributor

Required Experience & Skills

• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, with the ability to work with and fine-tune existing models
• Deep, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, specifically:
• Azure Machine Learning
• Azure AI Services
• Azure cloud services used for AI integration and deployment
• Experience implementing AI solutions into production environments
• Background in systems integration or application integration, especially where AI is involved
• Ability to take ownership of solutions from technical handoff through deployment and scale
• Experience collaborating with or overseeing third-party vendors
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, low‑hand‑holding environment
• 2-3+ years of focused experience working with AI solutions in Azure

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare or financial services environments
• Hands-on experience with:
• Large Language Models (LLMs)
• AI-powered chatbots or conversational AI
• Background working in growing or transformation-stage organizations
• Experience working closely with Product Managers or business stakeholders
