Job SummaryThe objective of the Finance Process Transformation team is to identify and deliver bottom-line impacts for the CFO Group through detailed understanding, documentation, re-engineering, and automation of Finance processes. This team works with existing processes, applications, and infrastructure to design and deliver more efficient and effective Finance processes by working closely with subject matter experts in Finance, Finance Shared Services, IT-Applications, and the Enterprise Next Generation Optimization Center of Excellence (CoE).Success is delivering transformational change, which is based on achieving measurable performance improvement (both process improvement and employee satisfaction) and significantly enhancing the ability for the Finance function to provide both processing and advisory services to business partners.Job DescriptionThis roles mandate is responsible for the day to day focus on delivering Finance optimization initiatives of varying size, complexity and type:Execute the Process and Technical aspects of the project and foster a strong commitment to teamwork and cooperationDevelop solutions with other Finance Transformation Team members and project team including user acceptance and production readinessProduce solutions for the implementation of automation through development, testing, and production environmentsParticipate in key aspects of a project from: scoping, analyzing, developing solutions, reviewing deliverables, from executing to implementing changeLeverage and employ established best practices, processes, methodologies, and content (e.g., business objects) from the NGO CoE and strongly collaborate to build organizational experienceIdentify innovative improvement opportunities, work effectively with Sr. Manager(s), Finance Transformation and business unit teams, process owners and subject matter experts, escalating for issue resolution as requiredCollaborate and share knowledge with Finance Transformation Team members, provide constructive feedback and address development opportunitiesWork in conjunction with the NGO CoE as required to contribute to the COE practice, methodology, and tools to contribute to the next generation automation practice at RBC1+ years of experience developing and applying some of the leading practices in:Process excellence, e.g., mapping, Lean Six Sigma (LSS)Finance, e.g., processes within month end closing cycle and reporting cycleWorkflow management, e.g., PegaWorkstream and relationship managementProject, stakeholder, relationship, change and transformation managementOperational risk experience and practicesDemonstrated ability to partner effectively with key stakeholders on complex projects including a technology component, proven track record to deliver1+ years of experience in Financial Services (preferred)1+ years of People management (indirect reporting)Recognized collaboration skillsPreferred Training:Education Engineering, software development, e.g., familiarity with higher level programming languagesTools: VBA, C# or similar experienceMicrosoft Office proficiency - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, iGrafx, Access, relational databasesSets a good example by acting in a way consistent with RBC Values: demonstrates integrity, respect for diversity, teamwork and collaborationBuilding Partnerships with Stakeholders (projects)Project Stakeholder Service OrientationAnalytical and Financial SkillsImpact and InfluenceCommunication Skills - written and oralET24Job SkillsAdditional Job DetailsAddress:RBC CENTRE, 155 WELLINGTON ST W:TORONTOCity:TORONTOCountry:CanadaWork hours/week:37.5Employment Type:Full timePlatform:Office of the CFOJob Type:Student/Coop (Fixed Term)Pay Type:SalariedPosted Date:2024-04-26Application Deadline:2024-05-26Inclusion and Equal Opportunity EmploymentAt RBC, we embrace diversity and inclusion for innovation and growth.
