Job Description:

As we continue to grow our Water/Wastewater (W/WW) practice in Southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Region (GTR) we are adding a Senior Program Director role to grow, develop and lead our W/WW business and team by developing and executing the pertinent strategy and plan. Our team is engaged in the design, contract management and project management of municipal W/WW pump stations, reservoirs and related infrastructure. We have been actively involved in projects in the region since 1964 and have a well-established team of experts that know how to solve our customers’ toughest challenges. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with municipal clients (GTA). We offer flexibility to work from any of our offices in Southern Ontario.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development of the business strategic objectives and develops detailed actions plans including business development and delivery plans, milestones, reviews, meetings.
  • Liaises and/or leads the business development activity through a cross functional collaboration with operations and business development managers.
  • Leads the development of our W/WW portfolio of clients and opportunities.
  • Liaises with project and operational managers to obtain regular feedback on ongoing projects and maintain excellent business relations with existing clients.
  • Continually develops and manages relationships with potential clients, influencers and key stakeholders (which entails creating a key account management strategy).
  • Collaborates with business managers to ensure full utilization of the CRM and other data analysis tools.
  • Maintains contact with decision makers and influencers in key customer organizations.
  • Liaises closely with other teams across Canada and the US to share capabilities, intelligence and support services.
  • Builds Parsons image in Southern Ontario by collaborating with prospective clients, customers, government, community organizations, enforcing business practices.
  • Facilitates business growth by working together with clients as well as business partners (suppliers, subcontractors, JV partners, technology providers, etc.).
  • Supports the development of a succession plan for the team and identifies new hires and high-potential employees for additional development.
  • Assists in developing the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets to meet the requirements of our client, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget targets.
  • Ensures client criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines.
  • Expedites distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client.
  • Understands the client's business goals in order to enhance the project work.
  • Participates regularly in decision making meetings with the client and the project team.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in engineering or related technical/business field from an accredited institution along with professional engineering registration in Ontario.
  • 20+ years of related work experience in vertical and linear municipal water/wastewater infrastructure along with business management experience including the development and implementation of successful BD strategies.
  • Broad general technical and business background with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and drive.
  • Ability to work in matrix organization along with strong team leadership skills
