Description
The Department of Medicine, Dalhousie University / Nova Scotia Health seeks applications for a one-year locum Infectious Diseases Clinician at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, Nova Scotia. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2024, however the Division is willing to consider shorter periods or intermittent periods within this one-year timeframe to suit the schedule of interested clinicians.
The Division of Infectious Diseases is one of 15 divisions within the Department of Medicine. In addition to playing an important clinical role in the Department, division members have excellent opportunities for collaborative educational and research activities to facilitate rewarding and fulfilling career development.
This is a largely clinical position, providing inpatient Infectious Diseases consultation services at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, as well as outpatient clinics in general infectious diseases.
Candidates must have FRCP(C) certification (or equivalent) in Internal Medicine and a certificate of special competence (or equivalent) in Infectious Diseases. Candidates must be eligible for specialty licensure in Nova Scotia. Recent graduates of accredited Royal College ID training programs who are eligible to write the Royal College subspecialty licensing exam are welcome to apply.
An attractive remuneration package through an alternative funding plan will apply. Academic appointment ranking will be based on qualifications and experience.
