About This Opportunity

Queen's General Hospital (QGH) has a great opportunity for a Family Medicine Emergency physician to join their medical team. Emergency Medicine fellowship is not a requirement for this position, requirements are up to date ACLS, and PALS. An ATLS or Moulage course would be great as well, though our emergancy department is primarily non trauma. The Emergency Department is open 24 hours with 12 hour shifts.

Family physicians are also needed in the community and a mix of emergancy and family medicine would be favourably considered.

QGH opened its doors to patients in 1949. In 2014, a $16 million modernization of the hospital was complete including the creation of a collaborative health care centre. This upgrade was funded by Queens General Hospital Foundation, community fundraising campaign Keeping Us Strong, Queens Municipality, and the Government of Nova Scotia. Located in Liverpool, QGH is a 22-bed acute care community hospital that offers inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services and programs.
