Job Responsibilities:
- Salary Range: $25.36 - $29.80 per hour
- Assist in setting up equipment and machinery as required.
- Responsible for the operation of presses.
- Perform and document Quality Assurance first-off, hourly, and last-off inspections on all parts as per the Control Plan and advise Team Leader and/or Supervisor of non-conforming conditions.
- Document results and correction actions as required.
- Rotate and operate all Progressive Die equipment as assigned.
- Complete Production Traceability Reports as per station control.
- Responsible for producing quality parts that are in compliance with standard rates while adhering to customer requirements.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with Section 28 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for Industrial Establishments-Duties of Workers.
- Follow Magna’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies.
- Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the safety policies.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping in addressing hazards, defective equipment, wearing personal protective equipment as required, and reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
- Follow and abide all company policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
- Follow and abide by all government legislation and guidelines.
- Perform all other reasonable duties as required.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret written reports, correspondence, instructions, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ability to perform various computer functions (Microsoft Office, CMS).
- Ability to follow work instructions with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
- Familiarity with and knowledge of safe press and weld operations an asset.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 12 Education or GED
- Minimum two (2) years experience in running progressive dies.
