Group Summary:The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:
- Minimum grade 12 education required
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Excellent leadership skills and proven ability to motivate a team
- Must have ability to provide guidance, coaching and mentorship
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills to deal with issues as they arise
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Computer literate (MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must have a strong awareness of safety and be quality minded
- Proven ability to work in a self-directed manner with changing priorities
- Technical/Mechanical awareness for troubleshooting and resolving robot and machine downtime
- Ability to work and train with maintenance staff to be active in the control and operation of equipment
MAIN DUTIES:
- Supervises employees within department, providing training, guidance, mentoring and performance management to ensure employee productivity
- Assigns, audits & schedules appropriate manpower & overtime to ensure payroll reporting & business needs are met
- Scheduling and delivery of product
- Ensures safety standards are being met
- Accident/incident reporting, SPOTM’s, inspections and daily team meetings
- Implements Continuous Improvements in yield, utilization, labor efficiency, cost reduction, 5S, safety and quality
- Supports and manages employee issues, as they arise, including progressive discipline
- Responsible for effectively managing the Principles of the Employee Charter
- Determines training requirements for team and ensures matrixes are updated
- Maintains records, generates and provides downtime, utilization, through put and shift reports
- Performs all job functions in a safe, healthful and environmentally conscious manner
