Student - Enterprise Analytics

Temporary Full Time (Approximately 4 months) (2)

The Enterprise Data Office team is looking to hire a student to help with optimizing Enterprise Analytics workflows, including data & analytics governance artifact development and batch interface scripting. Students may be asked to support a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Documenting current processes and providing future state recommendations
  • Developing and/or updating training or presentation materials
  • Work collaboratively with the broader Enterprise Data Office team to update logic, definitions, and scripts to be in alignment with the acceptable standards
  • Assist in creating communication and education materials outlining new features
  • Gather requirements and end user feedback to help guide further EDO development/enhancements
  • Support of other projects, departmental, or organizational activities

What must you have?

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary studies in a relevant area (including but not limited to: Health Administration, Computer Science, Business, Statistics/Mathematics, Engineering)

What else do you bring?

  • Strong computer science background.
  • Basic knowledge of workstation/mobile/server technologies (Windows 7/10, OSx, Android, apple IOS, Linux, Unix).
  • Have strong time management, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and support multiple projects and prioritize conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to identify issues, risks and concerns and escalate/resolve as appropriate.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High degree of initiative and ability to meet multiple principal accountabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to think creatively with a focus on results and outcomes.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to learn and master new technology quickly and improve personal performance through continual self-study.
  • Flexibility with respect with work hours; may be required to work after-hours and at all sites of Mackenzie Health.
  • Proven attendance record.
  • Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others.

*You may be required to work at any site of Mackenzie Health (MRHH or CVH). Remote work options will be considered on a case-by-case basis in alignment with the intended goals of Mackenzie Health and the student, as well as the feasibility and appropriateness of such remote options.
