Position Summary:
As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the contract lifecycle and driving operational efficiencies across a portfolio of commodities. This includes executing contracts, supporting sourcing initiatives, and fostering strong vendor relationships. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure business goals are met while promoting cost savings, continuous improvement, and alignment with strategic objectives.
This is a key role within the Strategic Sourcing team, ideal for someone with strong procurement expertise, analytical thinking, and a collaborative mindset. You'll contribute to supplier performance, compliance, and sourcing excellence while delivering value across the organization.
What You’ll Do:-
Lead the end-to-end contract lifecycle process, including timely renewals, terminations, drafting, negotiation, and execution of agreements in line with policies and best practices.

Act as a liaison with key internal stakeholders (Legal, Privacy, Cybersecurity, IT) to ensure timely and compliant contract execution.

Build and strengthen vendor relationships to support performance goals and ensure issues related to compliance and service are addressed effectively.

Support or lead Supplier Business Reviews and facilitate sourcing projects (RFx) that deliver optimal business outcomes and minimal risk.

Contribute to the development of commodity strategies by gathering data, analyzing supplier activity, and conducting market research.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Accounts Payable, and Purchasing on sourcing and contract-related initiatives.

Lead and support continuous improvement projects that enhance sourcing operations, contract management practices, and internal alignment.

Ensure sourcing and contract documentation, processes, and tools are maintained and optimized in line with department best practices.

University or College degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Operations, or a related field.

5–8 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain operations.

Professional designations or working toward one (e.g., PMAC, MBA, Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt) are considered assets.

Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze procurement data, conduct cost analysis, benchmark expenditures, and evaluate ROI.

Proficiency with Oracle Fusion (Contract, Library, Supplier Portal, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel – Advanced, Teams, PowerPoint).

Experience in Healthcare or Life Sciences environments is highly desirable.

Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities, and foster vendor partnerships.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
