Position Summary The Machine Operator will safely operate and maintain the paver machine to ensure production orders are completed on time and quality standards are maximized. Duties and Responsibilities • Inspect, operate and monitor paver machine, conduct daily machine setup and calibration, perform maintenance and basic repairs • Inspect, prepare and load raw materials • perform periodic checks on product output to ensure quality control • complete activity logs, records of maintenance and repair and other documentation as well as all mandatory training Skills and Abilities • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent • Three or more years machine operation experience in a similar role • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems • Ability to use overhead crane, power and hand and tools • Mechanically inclined • Ability to accurately perform measurements with micrometer and calipers • Ability to perform basic calculations with computer and calculator • Knowledge of production, quality control, maintenance and safety • Ability to maintain good working relationship with coworkers and supervisor Working Environment • Typical factory construction environment • dust, noise • frequent standing, bending, and lifting • Safety equipment required: Steel toe safety shoes, eye and ear protection Apply on-line at www.laboursource.com.
