The Senior Coordinator, Quality & Risk (QRM) and Vendor Management supports vendor governance by executing risk management, compliance, and documentation processes across the Tax & Legal vendor ecosystem. The role ensures that all vendors meet firm requirements related to independence, security, privacy, legal terms, and operational best practices.
This position provides the day-to-day operational rigor required to maintain a compliance and audit-ready vendor environment and supports efficient vendor lifecycle management.
What you will do
Risk & Compliance Management
- Coordinate and manage Quality and Risk Management (QRM) processes for Tax & Legal vendors, and internally-developed digital products
- Facilitate required risk reviews including independence, privacy, legal, security, and Information Technology Services (ITS) architecture assessments
- Gather and compile vendor and project documentation to support risk reviews and approvals
- Prepare and submit complete, audit-ready QRM packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with KPMG governance standards
- Manage outstanding actions, exceptions, and work with stakeholders to ensure timely remediation
- Support annual recertification cycles for vendor and product compliance
Governance, Approvals & Workflow Execution
- Facilitate security reviews, ensuring alignment with ITS security requirements
- Liaise with delivery teams, governance teams, and external vendors to review materials and coordinate required approvals
- Maintain and update governance records, workflows, tickets, and approvals using ServiceNow or other firm systems
- Track and monitor multiple concurrent requests, ensuring deadlines and expectations are met
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain centralized repositories of vendor and project compliance documentation, contracts, SOC reports, risk assessments and QRM artifacts
- Prepare compliance dashboards and status updates for the COO and the Director, Business Transformation
- Support audit requests and internal reviews by compiling complete and accurate documentation packages
Vendor Lifecycle Support
- Support vendor onboarding through coordination of independence checks, security questionnaires, privacy assessments, and contract compliance verification
- Assist with vendor offboarding including access removal, documentation closure and governance sign-off
- Support the design of, and operate, the Tax & Legal vendor management framework covering onboarding, contracting, renewals, offboarding and performance monitoring
- Maintain a master inventory of all vendors and associated contracts, SLAs, and documentation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as an operational liaison between delivery teams, ITS Security, Procurement, Legal, QRM and vendor contacts
- Communicate clearly and frequently to ensure stakeholders understand requirements, risks, timelines, and next steps
- Support process improvement within governance workflows, identifying inefficiencies and proposing enhancements
What you bring to the role
- Degree in Business, Technology, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 2+ years in risk management, compliance operations, vendor operations, procurement operations or administrative roles ideally with a professional services firm
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, compliance processes, and IT security principles.
- Familiarity with QRM processes, privacy regulations, and legal compliance in technology projects
- Comfort working with documentation systems such as ServiceNow
- Strong written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a complex matrix environment
KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $63,000 to $94,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
