We are looking for a Senior Consulant and Manager to join our exciting and growing practice with a specialized focus on Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), Operational Risk Management (ORM), Operational Resiliency (Ops Res), Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) and Corporate Governance. The successful candidate will have an important role in delivering end-to-end client engagements as well as driving various internal and market facing ORM, Ops Res, RCM, governance and TPRM initiatives. You will also have the opportunity to work across industries, service lines and geographies to take on challenging and groundbreaking projects while building strong relationships with our fantastic people and developing skills that will help set you up for success.
What you will do
- Develop, lead and manage TPRM, ORM, RCM, Corporate Governance and Ops Res client engagement plans, deliverables and ensure quality of the fieldwork and deliverables prepared by the team members.
- Assist organizations in designing and implementing ORM, RCM, Corporate Governance, and Ops Res and TPRM operating models, including risk strategy, risk appetite, regulatory reporting, governance, policies, assessment, due diligence, continuous monitoring and technology.
- Lead proposal development as well as grow client relationships - understand clients’ needs and provide customized ORM, RCM, Corporate Governance, and Ops Res and TPRM solutions.
- Identify and assess potential opportunities to expand the ORM, RCM, Corporate Governance, and Ops Res and TPRM practice, including participating in the development and delivery of presentations, thought leaderships (etc.).
- Collaborate with KPMG’s Risk Services (RS) practice to support risk transformation opportunities specific to Operational Risk, Compliance Risk, Corporate Governance and Third-Party Risk.
- Lead and manage multiple client engagements of varying size, scope and complexity.
- Assist clients in ORM, RCM, Corporate Governance, and Ops Res and TPRM managed services, including periodic workshops and presentations to key internal and client stakeholders.
- Support in the implementation of ORM, RCM, Corporate Governance, and Ops Res and TPRM analytics and technology solutions (e.g., GRC solutions).
- Mentor, drive and review quality of work prepared by team members in managing project timeline, quality, budget as well as client relationship.
What you bring to the role
- 3+ years / 7 to 12 years of experience and a strong background in ORM, RCM, Corporate Governance, Ops Res or TPRM in Financial Services.
- Risk management, assurance or professional designation (such as CRM, CRM-E, CIA, CRMA, CISA) is considered an asset.
- Academic background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Economics.
- Strong current knowledge of the Canadian regulatory landscape (OSFI B10, E-13 and E21) and leading practices in Risk Management.
- Able to lead cross functional teams comprised of diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in report writing and Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Flexible in working style and willing to learn new ways, methods and approaches.
