Description
At KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause: turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world.
As part of the Financial Reporting team, the Manager – Financial Analysis will prepare reports using Power BI and Excel.
They will communicate with internal clients across the country to present their work, discuss new requests, and answer
business questions.
What you will do
Report Creation:
- Create and modify Power BI reports
- Create financial reports and ad hoc analyses in Excel
- Review reports to ensure accuracy
Collaboration:
- Discuss report requirements with end users
- Meet with internal clients to answer their business questions
- Demonstrate newly created reports to end users
- Work with other Financial Reporting team members to solve data problems, build new reports, and discuss improvements
Data Management:
- Use SQL to query databases in Azure Synapse and SQL Server
- Identify data discrepancies
Learning:
- Research data visualization best practices
- Develop proficiency with Microsoft Azure, Power BI, and Excel
- Explore opportunities for increasing efficiency via automation and AI technology
- Learn about the business and how to support it with financial information
What you bring to the role
- Experience creating Power BI reports
- Ability to write DAX measures
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or data science
- Excellent communication skills
- Confidence to present work and discuss improvements with end users
- Analytical problem-solving mindset
KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $74,000 to $111,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
