Senior Underwriter – Environmental

Our established client is a renowned leader in specialty insurance, providing coverage for hard-to-place risks of niche businesses across the globe.

Currently they are seeking a Senior Underwriter to join their growing team in Canada!

This position is responsible for supporting and developing a profitable portfolio of business through marketing, sales and underwriting in the Environmental Liability line of business.

This position is open to applicants Canada-wide. Please note that some travel will be required nationally as needed for networking and new business development opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 - 5 years' experience in environmental liability underwriting
• University degree, CIP or FCIP designation
• Strong marketing skills with proven track record of establishing partnerships with brokers and partners
• Expertise in policy wordings, forms and applicable coverages
• Excellent presentation skills, comfortable with public speaking to various audiences
• Ability to deliver results under tight deadlines
• Strong business acumen with ability to represent the organization externally
• Willingness to travel nationally for networking and new business opportunities

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Total compensation of $110,000 - $130,000 including annual bonuses
• Extended health and dental coverage, vision care, life insurance, travel insurance, wellness initiatives
• 4 weeks vacation per year
• RRSP contributions with no employee matching required
