With a reputation for providing both excellent and challenging files with a work culture emphasizing transparency and upwards career mobility, they are currently looking for an experienced and eager legal associate to join their commercial litigation / insolvency practice.

Responsibilities
The incumbent lawyer will be stepping into a busy practice supporting the partners in their commercial litigation and insolvency practice in addition to full independent conduct of their own matters. In addition to general commercial disputes, insolvency and foreclosures will take center stage; experience with foreclosures, receiverships, and proceedings under the BIA and CCAA will be considered strong assets.

Qualifications

  • Be called to the BC Bar and be in good standing
  • 3+ years of experience with an emphasis on commercial litigation / insolvency
  • Comfortable with a 1600 annual billable target
