Description
Our client, a growing construction and property management company seeking a reliable and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, small-office environment and is looking for a long-term home with a stable company. With a focus on accounting, this position entails some general office administrative duties.
Their business focuses primarily on multifamily construction projects while also owning and managing a portfolio of commercial properties. We are looking for someone who can help keep our accounting operations organized and running smoothly.
Position Overview
This role will serve as the primary internal bookkeeping and accounting support person, working closely various members of the organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records while also assisting with general administrative support as needed.
The client is also open to both full-time and part-time candidates depending on experience and fit.
Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Process approximately 100-200 invoices monthly
- Complete payroll processing for hourly employees, salaried staff, and subcontractors
- Perform bank reconciliations and month-end support
- Assist with financial organization and reporting
- Maintain accurate accounting records across multiple entities
Administrative Support
- Provide general office and administrative assistance
- Support phone coverage and reception duties when required
- Assist with day-to-day office coordination in a team-oriented environment
- Help keep leadership informed, organized, and up to date
Must-Have Qualifications
- 4-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Experience using Sage accounting software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Outgoing, team-oriented personality
- Looking for a long-term opportunity with stability and consistency
- Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience in construction, development, property management, or a related industry
- Accounting or bookkeeping education/certification
- Experience with leasing or rental property administration
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000-$100,000 depending on experience
- Extended health, dental, and vision coverage
- Two to three week’s vacation
- Fully in-office position
