University Co-Op Student - Project Controls - Cost Control Analyst - 12 Months - Fall 2026

Hiring salary range: $2,136.59 - $3,301.53 / bi-weekly

Reporting to Manager, Cost Control and Risk Performance, the primary duties of the coop student in the Project Cost controls and Risk Performance team will be to assist the manager by:

  • Creating reports and analysing historical trends of risks based on risk register database for Transmission Capital Projects

  • Compiling project risk assumption database

  • Assisting with developing Change Order reports to assist with implementation of new Change Management processes

  • Managing AR tracking sheets

  • Preparing reports on project buildouts in SAP and providing ad-hoc due diligence review

  • Assisting in compiling data to support major variances and corresponding Change Orders

  • Assisting with other department initiatives as assigned


During their term the student can expect to learn technical skill such as:

  • How to use SAP (mainly, Project Systems and BIBW))

  • PowerApps and Power BI

  • Practical management accounting

  • Risk analysis

  • Improve excel skills

Selection Criteria:

  • Third year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Engineering/Computer/Mathematics) or Bachelor of Commerce/Business Administration or related program.

  • Intermediate Excel skills required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Power Apps and SAP knowledge would be considered as a plus

  • Computer science/statistics courses taken would be considered as a plus.

The base salary for this role considers a variety of factors, including candidates' knowledge, skills, experience, education, and any applicable collective agreement requirements for union-represented positions.
