Sr. IT Project Manager

Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our client's office in downtown Toronto at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.

The Senior IT Project Manager's role is to manage the project from initiation to post-implementation. The incumbent will be responsible for end-to-end integration delivery of the implementation with Tech and business teams to deliver work packages meeting business sponsor objectives.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead a project with a 5-million-dollar budget or more, with a duration of 12-18+ months and a team size of over 15 members. Able to manage 3-4 projects parallelly and has focused approach to keep business sponsor’s objectives on track.
• Act as the primary delivery executive with accountability for overall project execution by partnering closely with other tech IT project manager’s on client engagement, managing financials, client relationships, and service delivery quality.
• Must have executive presence and ability to work closely with senior executive client team at Sr Director, VP , SVP designees.
• Ability to lead and participate in executive-level business and technology discussions.
• Lead project team through problem determination and issue resolution as required
Planning
• Must be familiar with SEED, Business Case concept including planned benefit realization.
• Be focused in creating or supporting project charter creation by working closely with Business Sponsor delegate.
• Familiar with people change management risk assessment process from business team perspective.
• Report on delivery status to executive bodies on weekly, biweekly or monthly frequency as followed by Client Team within the client organization.
• Ability to develop and build strong, productive working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Engage business stakeholders, Technology team following clients internal process.
• Active participant in requirement documentation business and solution , ensuring desired scope objectives are met and covered.
• Accountable for tech/business work package planning, execution and implementation.
Execution, Control, Monitoring:
• Demonstrate success at collaborating, building consensus, and driving multiple projects to completion
• Communicating and reinforcing project methodologies and standards, developing all project artifacts as required, including issue management, risk management, and change management.
• Monitoring all testing and implementation activities, ensuring that all phases/aspects of testing are covered based on the project to ensure the project is delivered on time and budget.
• Participate and review tech test planning, test cases ensuring conformance with project scope.
• Work with Business Project manager to monitor business work package status.
Implementation:
• Work with business project lead to track creation of business verification test plan execute in tech test environment part of enhanced business testing
• Create technical implementation plan with tech team including creating interdependency’s tech/ business activities like post implementation verification.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Minimum of 10 + years of Project delivery experience with strong experience managing budgets above 5 million dollars. Previous experience in roles such as Project Manager/Program Manager or Engagement Manager with full financial accountability.
• University / College level degree.
• Good to have Project Management Certification (PMP) with strong understanding of IT project management phase.
• Experience in Banking Domain business-oriented projects will be an advantage,
• Excellent verbal and written communication

Required skillset:
1. More than 8yrs Project Management Experience
2. Must be able to work on 3 projects parallelly with total budget of $6 MM
3. Must be well-versed with-IT project management process stages Waterfall and awareness of agile
