Job Description:
The Investor Relations & Capital Markets team is responsible for developing and executing Sun Life’s communication strategy with institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and rating agencies. The team is also responsible for Sun Life’s capital markets activities, which includes issuance and maintenance of public securities. Our best-known products are slides for the quarterly analyst call and investor materials published quarterly. We also provide financial analysis and advice, used by a broad range of people both inside and outside the Company.

Reporting to the Director, Investor Relations, the Investor Relations Coordinator joins a team of innovative and dynamic individuals who work both internally and externally to Sun Life to accomplish the Investor Relations goals. Strong relationship management skills are essential in building and maintaining connections with Sun Life executives and assistants, Sun Life Business Group teams, analysts and broker partners.
What will you do?
Coordinate Investor Relations investor meeting roadshows and conferences, including booking travel and accommodations
Working in partnership with the executive assistant community to facilitate Sun Life executive participation at investor meetings and roadshows
Support relationship management with key external partners
Proactively manage and communicate changes, risks, issues, and actions, utilizing appropriate tools
Track investor meetings across multiple platforms
Collaborate with a variety of teams using strong leadership, influencing and facilitation skills to coordinate and drive projects to successful completion
Responsible for a variety of administrative tasks to support the Investor Relations team, including booking meetings, coordinating with executive assistants across the organization on executive availability, processing invoices, tracking purchase orders and other tasks as needed
What do you need to succeed?
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience
Previous experience in Investor Relations would be an asset
Minimum 2 years of experience, previous knowledge of corporate communications, event management, public relations would be an asset
Positive, energetic attitude at all times
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and relates well to diverse personality types
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize a wide range of tasks over multiple projects
Solid knowledge of project management techniques, tools, and methodologies
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
