Job Description:

About the role:

The Document Delivery Administrator role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced, innovative and dynamic team environment, providing support to Sun Life Business Units.

This role plays a key role in ensuring effective production and handling of incoming and outgoing mail and couriers and will be responsible to ensure service standards are met and strict quality targets are adhered to for a variety of tasks.

What will you do?

  • Perform production tasks such as sorting and collating of documents
  • Accountable for accuracy and quality throughout production process, ensuring clients receive proper documents
  • Accountable for understanding the end-to-end processes for Canadian Document Services
  • Responsible for communicating change that could lead to positive process enhancements
  • Recognizing what needs to be done to meet customer and business needs
  • Updating digital databases and completing investigations for return mail
  • Entering key metrics into Excel spreadsheets
  • Creating and developing spreadsheets for tracking
  • Monitoring and responding to business partners’ queries in our team email inbox

What do you need to succeed?

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a customer service position
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with the passion and skill to respond to high priority investigations and escalations
  • Personable and friendly with a focus on building relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Solid experience with PC applications in a Windows environment, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and has a positive attitude
  • Must adapt to change quickly and be a role model for fellow team members
  • Team player, willing to contribute and help others and offer guidance
  • Strong organization and time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum direction and frequent interruptions
  • Be an active learner
  • Able to maintain a high level of productivity, accuracy and attention to detail at all times
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines
  • Able to recognize opportunities to initiate change that will increase the department’s efficiency
  • Ability to interact with and effectively communicate with Team members
  • Flexibility in the face of changing priorities and timeline pressures
  • Display professionalism at all times

Unique Requirements:

  • As a condition of the role, the successful candidate must obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance through Sun Life in advance of the start date
  • Position requires candidate to work in office.
  • Ability to lift items weighing 50 to 75 lbs and be on their feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to handle fluctuating work volumes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work overtime with minimal notice when volumes dictate.
  • Limited vacation during peak seasons.
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
