Job Description:

Director, IX Platform, Private Fixed Income (PFI)

As a member of our Investment (“IX”) Platform, this Director, IX Platform supports the PFI front office team and plays a critical role in supporting Sun Life Capital Management's (SLC's) Private Fixed Income business. This position is responsible for supporting front office reporting and analytics needs related to the PFI portfolio and serves as a key liaison between front office teams and the rest of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial mindset, deep knowledge of private fixed income, and the ability to deliver high-quality insights under tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the PFI Governance team in providing critical support to front office, sales, and client service teams
  • Lead special projects and "deep dive" data analysis for all existing and prospective PFI clients
  • Leverage eFront, Aladdin, and other systems to produce analytics and reporting for RFP responses and client requests
  • Collaborate with the PFI Deal Management and other teams to ensure data quality and governance in eFront
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and leverage technology (e.g. AI) to enhance efficiency
  • Provide thought leadership on best practices for private markets governance and reporting
  • Manage the process of reporting Investments Causing Concern (ICC) for PFI investments
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with covenant monitoring requirements

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in private fixed income, credit analysis, investment operations or related field
  • CFA and/or accounting designation preferred, but not required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency with financial systems and data analysis tools (e.g. eFront, Aladdin, PowerBI)
  • Commercial mindset and understanding of client/business needs
