Hello, I'm Darcy, Recruitment and Business Development Consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in finance and accounting. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in the Greater Montreal area.
Our team of finance experts speaks your language and works in your environment. We cover the finance, accounting and payroll professions.

I'm looking for an Payroll and accounting Technician for my client in Jean-Talon on the island of Montreal. This is a permanent 40h contract, in hybrid mode 2 days of telecommuting).

Payroll Focus (Primary Responsibilities) :
You will play a key role in managing the payroll cycle for employees across Canada and the United States.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Managing the full payroll cycle, including T4, R1, and W2 filings, for all North American sites.
- Ensuring the collection and verification of payroll data in collaboration with site managers.
- Processing payroll using Paycor and Employeur D systems.
- Preparing and recording journal entries related to payroll.
- Updating and analyzing Excel reports on hours worked, salaries, and labor costs.
- Managing group insurance plans for the head office (enrollments, changes, and administrative follow-up).
- Liaising with tax authorities and other agencies to handle requests and ensure compliance.

Accounting Focus (Secondary Responsibilities) :
- Supporting the accounting team, you will contribute to the organization's ongoing financial operations:
- Supervising and reviewing vendor invoice entries and payments.
- Managing the setup and follow-up of supplier accounts.
- Overseeing fixed asset management: coding, accounting entries, and tracking.
-Preparing and updating reports tracking operational and capital expenditures.

Your profile:

- Professional degree in accounting or DEC in accounting
- Minimum three years' experience in a similar position;
- Knowledge of Sage X3, Paycor and Employer D (an asset),
- Mastery of Office suite software, more specifically Excel;
- Bilingualism;
- Discretion and attention to detail
- Autonomy and resourcefulness;
- Proactive attitude
