We are seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Director for our client. This is a permanent, hybrid position in the Montreal area.
We are seeking a Director - Mergers and Acquisitions & Finance. You will play a key role in the execution of strategic corporate finance projects as well as the analysis and execution of mergers and acquisitions transactions.
Your responsibilities
* Financial modeling of long-term projections to provide internal teams with the necessary visibility for strategic decision-making.
* Lead the execution of mergers and acquisitions mandates and coordinate all transactional steps.
* Oversee due diligence (financial, operational, commercial, and sector-specific) in collaboration with specialized teams.
* Lead negotiations with buyers, sellers, and partners, including the review of legal agreements (letters of intent, share/asset purchase agreements, etc.).
* Mentor and inspire a team of analysts and managers, fostering their development and professional advancement.
* You will act as an expert for any other Adhoc corporate finance project in support of senior management.
Desired Profile
* Proven experience (more than 10 years) in investment banking, corporate finance, accounting, or financial services, with significant experience in M&A transactions (volume and complexity).
* Finance experience in a manufacturing company, an asset.
* CPA, CFA, or CBV designation, an asset.
* Excellent skills in valuation, modeling, and financial analysis.
* Motivating leadership, ability to influence and rally diverse stakeholders.
* Excellent communication, rigor, and results-oriented.
* Proficiency in financial tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg).
* Bilingual French/English (written and oral communication with both English- and French-speaking contacts).
