I am looking for an accounting technician for my client located near a subway station and with parking. This is a permanent 40-hour contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monthly bank reconciliations for various legal entities
- Periodic GST/STP returns for various legal entities
- Preparation and coordination of all government/regulatory filings
- Preparation of checks, wire transfers, and payments (AP cycle)
- Daily verification/reconciliation and maintenance of investment portfolio transactions on the software platform
- Assistance with monthly reconciliation of all brokerage accounts in the investment portfolio
- Assistance with monthly adjustments and journal entries for general ledger and book closing.
- Maintenance of a systematic and organized filing system for documents and records for all legal entities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree or bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Ability to work in a multi-company structure
- Team-oriented and customer service-oriented
- Organized and detail-oriented
- In-depth knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
