Position Description

We currently have an exciting role for a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to service our fleet of commercial vehicles and Heavy Equipment in our Prince George location.

Position Responsibilities

• Ability to service and repairs of all Company vehicles/equipment
• Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems
• Demonstrates the ability to plan and prioritize work and material requirements and operate independently
• Ability to perform services and repairs out of service truck
• Perform preventive maintenance services
• Ensure service and maintenance practices meet the regulatory requirements
• Expected to play a leading role in implementing and promoting workplace safety and professionalism and recommend positive workplace change
• Additional duties may be required

Qualifications

• Journeyman Heavy Duty mechanic
• Red Seal
• Valid class 5 License.
• Class 3 license considered an asset
• Full understanding of all relevant safety and compliance regulations, policies
• 2 years maintenance experience considered an asset
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing - including D&A testing
• Experience in waste equipment and function is considered an asset
