What will your typical day look like?

As part of our Enterprise Value Creation team, you will directly support our Partners and Directors. Your day-to-day responsibility will be to lead end-to-end engagements-shaping the workplan, leading the team, and executing analyses and implementation-anchored by working capital as your core competency. You will quantify and qualify value opportunities (with particular depth in working capital), develop practical execution roadmaps, and work with clients to realize sustainable financial benefits. You will be responsible for ensuring committed results are delivered on-time, and that supporting deliverables are executed on time, within budget and are of impeccable quality.


Responsibilities:

  • Leading working capital value creation engagements end-to-end, including diagnostics, opportunity sizing, initiative design and implementation across Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay and Inventory / Forecast-to-Fulfil.
  • Building baselines and translating insights into measurable working capital outcomes (e.g., cash release and cash conversion cycle drivers) using structured data requests, analytics and benchmarking.
  • Designing the discrete project approach, key event schedule, governance cadence and management operating system (KPIs, dashboards and routines) required to deliver and sustain results.
  • Leading client workshops and cross-functional working sessions to drive process improvements and managerial behaviour change required to embed a cash-focused culture.
  • Participating in operational due diligence and working capital diligence from time to time, translating findings into practical value creation roadmaps and post-close execution plans.
  • Growing the practice through business development, including shaping opportunities, developing proposals and value cases, and supporting executive-level client conversations.
  • Providing leadership, management and training to internal teams and contributing to Deloitte knowledge by developing and improving methodologies, tools and templates.
About the team

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious, results oriented individual to make a significant contribution to our dynamic and growing Enterprise Value Creation practice. Situated within Strategy, Risk and Transactions (SR&T), Mergers & Acquisitions, our team plays a pivotal role as clients transform their businesses through both deal activity and enterprise value creation work outside of deals.


We are seeking a Senior Manager whose core competency is working capital-bringing deep expertise across Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay and Inventory / Forecast-to-Fulfil-to lead and execute cash and value creation engagements, while also leaning in on other value levers such as revenue growth management and cost reduction. You will combine strong operational management consulting capabilities with a hands-on delivery mindset, and you will contribute to growing the practice through business development, proposals and capability building.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree an asset.
  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in management consulting or direct equivalent including a minimum 4 years of experience managing implementation/operations-based projects where operating cash flow improvements were measured.
  • Working capital as a core competency, with demonstrated depth across Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay and Inventory / Forecast-to-Fulfil.
  • Fluent in both financial and operational metrics, with comfort translating operational drivers into cash and value outcomes.
  • Experience leading end-to-end engagements including scoping, work planning, budgeting, staffing, data requests, analysis, and executive-level readouts.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to business development (proposals, value cases and client relationship development).
  • Ability to travel to client sites and offices across Canada and at times the US as required.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills to lead, train, develop and hold employees accountable.
  • Demonstrated performance in consistently meeting or exceeding project deliverables and objectives.
  • Strong command of English with excellent written and oral communication skills for all locations.
  • Strong command of French with excellent written and oral communication skills is required for our Montreal location and an asset for any location.
  • Ability to communicate confidently across all levels of an organization.
  • Desire and comfort to work directly with clients at all management levels on a daily basis.
  • Strong facilitation and persuasion skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • High level of energy, persistence, and strong desire to achieve results.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (in particular Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to leverage Generative AI as a value add to all aspects of the work we do.
Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $126,000 - $234,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
