The Redevelopment portfolio includes all major CAMH development, renovations, Facilities Maintenance (FM) and Plant Operations & Maintenance (POM) services, and works to ensure the seamless and smooth daily operations of CAMH properties. CAMH is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Senior Manager, Facilities Planning and Development. Reporting to the Director of Facilities Planning, Plant Operations and Maintenance & P3 FM Contracts, the Senior Manager is responsible for:

The Senior Manager will provide strategic direction for the program, identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, effectiveness and/or the ability to maximize the number of high-quality projects within the available funding envelopes. They will provide direct supervision to the Facilities Planning and Development team including recruitment, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and professional development. They will collaborate with Finance to establish and monitor annual operating budgets along with the annual capital budgets for space planning, HIRF and Capital Renewal, and collaborate with Procurement to secure consultants and contractors. They will oversee the integration of communications and change management to support effective and equitable space allocation and management. They will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is located at 1001 Queen Street West.
A university degree preferably in Engineering or Architecture together with a minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience supporting transformation initiatives and an extensive background working with multi-disciplinary teams at the corporate level is required. OAA, PMP and/or P. Eng. designations are preferred. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated management experience in design, project management, renovation, and construction, along with well-developed skills in strategic planning, budgeting and resource allocation. Experience in a health care environment is preferred. They will be results-oriented and client-focused with a demonstrated leadership background in project management processes and methodologies, and extensive experience negotiating with and managing the performance of external vendors. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively drive culture, ensure fiscal control and develop self and others while motivating team members to achieve performance excellence. They are self-directed, highly motivated and possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with experience writing briefing notes and business cases to support the implementation of major construction projects, and review/critique detailed design and project specifications developed by consultants or contractors. They will demonstrate exceptional analytical and information-seeking skills that contribute to effective decision-making, strategic planning and execution of action plans. The ideal candidate is able to manage competing demands in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and possess the ability to work with a diverse group of leaders and stakeholders with demonstrated success in positive issues resolution. They will have a proven track record as a highly regarded contributor within a management team who is able to achieve deliverables by strict deadlines. Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and current AutoCAD software is also required. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset
