The General Adult Psychiatry and Health Systems Division at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is focused on improving the quality of care and access to appropriate care within the mental health and addictions system.
The General Adult Psychiatry and Health Systems Division is seeking a part-time, contract, 12-months, Research Analyst. Reporting directly to the Research Manager, and working closely with the Principal Investigator, the candidate will assist in recruitment and screening of study participants, as well as the administration of questionnaires, data collection, and maintaining research documentation according to the appropriate regulatory guidelines. Other responsibilities will include: data entry, supporting the maintenance of databases, and assisting with the preparation of data for analysis, literature searches and abstracts, presentations and manuscripts. Other research administrative tasks may be required.
The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will have excellent capacity for self-directed learning/working, and require minimal supervision. The candidate will support and contribute to a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.
This position is currently located at 100 Stokes St and 1025 Queen St W.
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience or related degree combined with 1 year of relevant research experience. Previous experience in clinical programs, mental health or clinical research is preferred. Experience with Electronic Data Capture Systems such as REDCap is an asset. The ideal candidate will have proficiency with Microsoft office, online academic search engines (e.g., PsycINFO, PubMed, MedLine), database software packages as well as experience conducting basic analyses using statistical packages (SPSS) and data interpretation. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication (oral/written) and organizational skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members. The candidate will be detail-oriented, possess analytical thinking skills, and be able to exercise initiative and good judgment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask and produce high-quality, accurate work while meeting program deadlines. The candidate requires the ability to work effectively in a variety of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Please Note: This part-time, 12-month contract position is part of the OPSEU bargaining unit.
