Research Analyst - Brain Health Imaging Centre

The Kimel Family Translational Imaging-Genetics Laboratory is a large multidisciplinary research laboratory dedicated to discovering the causes of severe mental illness and advancing treatments for severe mental illness. The focus of the laboratory is using brain imaging to understand human brain function, psychiatric illness, and treatment outcomes. The laboratory is located in the Brain Health Imaging Centre. The lab includes a group of PIs; Drs. Nicholas Neufeld, Peter Zhukovsky, Colin Hawco, Erin Dickie, Lindsay Oliver, Aristotle Voineskos, and Stephanie Ameis, as well as other collaborating scientists.

We are seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Research Analyst who will provide support to the Kimel Family Lab’s research team and projects. The Research Analyst will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, neuroscientists, engineers, and clinical researchers interested in understanding brain function and dysfunction.

The Research Analyst will provide support in maintaining neuroimaging data collected from multiple research studies and will assist in quality control and analysis of this data. This may include data organization and processing of large functional and structural MRI data, quality control for ongoing studies, and timely implementation of neuroimaging pipelines for decisions in clinical trials. You will also be required to assist in data entry; updating and maintaining electronic databases; conducting searches of electronic resources; as well as preparing data for presentations and peer-reviewed research papers. Other research related administrative duties are also required. Current projects focus on using imaging markers to identify disease trajectories under various treatment regimes, including repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation and pharmacotherapies. You will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable CAMH policies, as well as all regulatory and legislative requirements.
