The Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program (OSP) is currently seeking a part-time, contract (6 months) Psychologist. The psychologist will join a dynamic interprofesional team that delivers cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to adults with depression, anxiety, and anxiety-related conditions. The OSP interprofessional team works with internal and external stakeholders to improve access to structured psychotherapy and increase the availability of evidence-based psychological treatments for individuals with mild to moderate depression and/or anxiety in Ontario.

Reporting to the OSP Manager, you will be expected to facilitate individual and group treatment, manage referrals and engage in assessment/triage processes, and offer service navigation support to clients currently attending the service. You will work in partnership with clients, their formal and informal supports, and the team to support clients’ successful integration into their communities. You will liaise with community health care providers, both within and outside CAMH. Collaborations with community organizations and primary care sites to deliver CBT may also be required. In addition, you will deliver a range of structured group and individual CBT based treatments that are effective for depression and various anxiety disorders. Expertise and experience with culturally adapted CBT is an asset. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a clinical environment and with diverse communities are essential.

You will be expected to contribute to program development, research and educational activities of the service. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all the applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. You will be expected to participate in professional development, including completion of any required training and participation in consultation. You must be capable of contributing to the development of best practices unique to mental health and concurrent disorder treatment.

This position will involve providing clinical services in the day, evening and weekends and is located at the Queen Street Site (or our community partner sites) and via virtual technology.

The candidate must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in psychology from an APA/CPA accredited clinical psychology program with a preferred minimum of 3 years of post-graduate, direct clinical (psychotherapy) experience in the provision of mental health and/or addictions treatment. As a registered member in good standing with a regulated health care discipline authorized to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy, the candidate must show proof of registration with the respective College (e.g. College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).

This position requires completion of training for an Advanced Certificate in CBT or CBT Consultation in alignment with Ontario Structured Psychotherapy requirements (ex. CBT for Depressive Disorders, CBT for Anxiety and Related Disorders 2, or CBT for Anxiety and Related Disorders 3), with experience applying this learning to provide/support treatment for depression, anxiety and anxiety-related concerns
