The newly established pan-Canadian Integrated Youth Services Collaboration Centre (IYS-CC) aims to support development, implementation and evaluation of Integrated Youth Services (IYS) best practices, quality services, and engaged research across Canada. There are emerging or established IYS networks in every province and territory in Canada, with local IYS locations in more than 100 communities. IYS networks deliver mental health, substance use health, primary care, education, employment, housing and other health, social and community services to youth aged 12 to 25 years. The IYS model is characterized by its commitments to equity, engagement, measurement and continuous learning. IYS networks work in close connections to the ACCESS Open Minds Indigenous Youth Mental Health and Wellness Network. The IYS-CC in Ontario, operates out of CAMH.

Position Description:
The pan-Canadian Integrated Youth Services Collaboration Centre (IYS-CC) hosted by CAMH is recruiting an Equity Integration Specialist. This position will report to the IYS-CC Program Manager. The Equity Integration Specialist role is fully remote, and the successful candidate can be located anywhere in Canada. The Equity Integration Specialist will play a key role in supporting deliverables of the IYS-CC and integration of equity, human rights, and social justice principles within implementation, measurement, research, and data utilization. The Equity Integration Specialist will work with and support IYS networks throughout Canada to partner effectively with diverse youth and service providers who serve youth facing marginalization (e.g., Black and other racialized youth, 2SLGBTQ+ youth, youth with disabilities, youth experiencing poverty, newcomer youth). The Equity Integration Specialist will work closely with the Indigenous Partnership Specialist, as well as a diverse team of Implementation Specialists, Evaluator, and IYS stakeholders, including youth, family members, service providers, researchers, health equity specialists, and other IYS leaders, partners and advisors.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively across teams and networks to bring specific capacities and expertise in equity, decolonizing practices, anti-oppressive and anti-racist practice to the IYS areas of engagement, practice, training, implementation, evaluation, and research. Demonstrated knowledge of First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities, cultures, perspectives and health service providers is required. Demonstrated capacity for effective change management, partner engagement and coaching are also required. The successful candidate will have a strong background in decolonizing, anti-oppressive and anti-racist practice, excellent knowledge of equity frameworks and tools, and significant experience supporting others to identify, prioritize, and develop actions that advance meaningful and sustained change for equitable outcomes.
Responsibilities will include:
The successful candidate will possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field of study (e.g., Indigenous studies, global studies, gender studies, social justice or a related equity, health, or social service discipline) or equivalent experience (required). Successful candidate will have at least three (3) years’ experience in the field of youth health promotion/ prevention, community health and/or mental health, and substance use services or other related health services.
This position is 100% remote.
