• Overall experience in Banking Industry: 8+ years (minimum)
• Commercial Banking lending experience, preferably with CRE/IPRE lending experience (5+ years)
o Strong understanding of commercial loan origination and approval process including roles and responsibilities of lenders/relationship managers and underwriters
o Strong understanding of commercial loan types, collateral types, and deal structures
o Strong understanding of related business documentation including term sheets and credit presentations
o Strong understanding of lending regulations
• Commercial underwriting experience (5+ years)
o Understanding of individual and business financial statements including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow
o Understanding of standard financial spreads for individuals and businesses including financial ratios, combined statements and global cash flow
o Familiar with rent rolls, unit mix and net operating statements
o Understanding of covenants, covenant calculations, tracking, and testing
o Familiar with credit approval process, authorities and controls
o Familiar with risk rating, PD (Probability of Default) and LGD (loss given default)
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• CreditLens certification (good to have); Candidate must be willing to pursue and complete certification process through Capgemini.
• High-level knowledge of software configuration and implementation
• Strong communication skills and comfortable working with senior level executives
• Commercial contract experience
• People management experience
