SISIP Financial services are available to Canadian Armed Forces Members both virtually and in-person. We have 23 offices located in CAF communities across Canada. Our national office is located in Ottawa.

THE ROLE

As the SISIP Policy and Procedures Manager, you will develop, review, recommend and manage the application of SISIP Financial insurance policies, procedures and guidelines. You will conduct research, review cases, evaluate insurance policies and procedures and recommend changes or modifications to existing policies, as required, and create and communicate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for SISIP Financial insurance.

The SISIP Policy and Procedures Manager will maintain knowledge in conjunction with the Subject Matter Experts (SME) and insurance partners, of relevant legislation to ensure that policies are kept updated and relevant to meet Federal and Provincial legislative standards.

This integral role interacts, establishes and creates partnerships with service providers, DND/CAF and other stakeholders to keep apprised of changes, as well as provide information, advice and interpretation on insurance policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Certifications and Licenses

College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Commerce or a related field AND several years of experience in policy and procedures development, or a related field

Experience

In researching, developing, drafting, interpreting and applying policies, procedures

In researching, interpreting and applying legislation

In the application of Federal and Provincial legislative framework

In the development of research methodologies

In research and data collection

In creating communications documents

In analyzing and synthesizing data and information

In project management

In planning, facilitating and delivering workshops and briefing sessions

Competencies

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct research, review, evaluate insurance policies and procedures and recommend changes or modifications to existing policies, as required.

Create and communicate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for SISIP Financial insurance.

Provide information, advice and interpretation on insurance policies and procedures.

Develop communication, training and briefing materials about insurance policies.

Prepare and conduct presentations for senior management.

Facilitate and deliver briefing sessions for SISIP Financial staff and stakeholders.
