THE ROLEThe Recreation Speciality Instructor plans, organizes and delivers classes. He/she prepares class schedules, design programs, and assist with advertising and public relations information, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma AND some years experience conducting classes
Current CPR and Standard First Aid qualifications
Current Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Operator Certificate
HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development Certification and Quest 2 certification, HIGH FIVE, as required
Experience
In planning, organizing, and delivering classes
In monitoring and controlling large groups of participants
In ensuring safety protocols and procedures
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTSEnglish Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset
