THE ROLEUnder the supervision of the Yacht Club Supervisor, the Marina Services Attendant will ensure that club boats, sailing dinghies, workboats and equipment are in good condition, outboard fuel tanks are full, rescue/tow lines are readily available, and that any equipment deficiency is brought to the supervisor’s attention at the earliest opportunity. The Marina Services Attendants will Operate VHF radio, and provide minor maintenance to sailing dinghies, workboats, club boats inside and outside of club buildings. Lawn mowing and lawn maintenance will also be required. As well as maintaining daily log reports as described by yacht club
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
- Education, Certifications and Licenses High school diploma AND some years experience in a related field. (An acceptable combination of education, training and experience will also be considered)
- Willing to obtain Pleasure Craft Operator Card
- Willing to obtain VHF Operators Card
Experience
- Familiar with operation of small power boats
- Familiar with refuelling watercrafts or similar vehicles
- In providing customer service - radio checks, tying up boats and checking them in
- In ensuring safety protocols and procedures (as defined by CPS training course at the club)
- In cash handling
