THE ROLE

Under the supervision of the Greens Supervisor, the Irrigation Technician operates, maintains, programs, repairs and winterizes the golf course irrigation system. You will create and maintain records of pumps and drive systems and makes recommendations to the supervisor for modifications and additions to the sprinkler system and drainage. you also test, troubleshoot and repair the irrigation system and ensures safety standards are maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

High school diploma AND some years of experience in a related field

AND

Certificate of Irrigation Technician Level 2, an asset

Valid Driver’s License (Manitoba)

Experience

In central irrigation installation, maintaining, programming, repairing and troubleshooting

In electrical and/or mechanical repair

Competencies

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English Essential, Bilingual (French and English) an asset

Reading: Advanced

Writing: Functional

Oral: Advanced

OTHER INFORMATION

Be able to perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23kg).

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.

This is a permanent seasonal position with an anticipated term of March to October.

As part of the selection process, the successful candidate must successfully complete a Reliability status security screening.

START DATE

March 30, 2026.
