THE ROLEThe Associate Director, Real Property is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing objectives and strategies for Non-Public Property (NPP) Real Property and Environment programs, ensuring compliance with policies, managing projects and leases, and maintaining a Real Property inventory. The Associate Director is responsible to Chair a Working Group and work with local managers to prioritize facilities used for NPP programs. This role involves collaboration with external organizations, financial management, and providing advice on Real Property and Environmental services.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field or a Property Management Certification, AND several years of experience in real property management
Experience
In planning, coordinating, managing and controlling a real property portfolio
In developing and implementing new programs in a government environment (an asset)
In developing, interpreting, implementing and applying real property policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
In providing advice and guidance
In business and strategic planning
In managing projects
In budget administration
In personnel administration

OTHER INFORMATIONThis is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.
This is a temporary position with an anticipated start date of December 8, 2025, and end date of January 7, 2028.
