Supporting and working alongside the members of the Canadian Armed Forces and actively preparing them to defend and serve our country could be your path to an extremely fulfilling career.
As part of a dynamic and dedicated team, as a Aquatic, Fitness, Sports and Recreation Instructor, you will have the opportunity to lead Fitness, Sports and Aquatics programs for a very highly motivated and professional clientele. Daily, you will develop, deliver and assess Tactical
programs based on established employment standards to ensure the members of the Canadian Armed Forces can safely and effectively perform their duties in operations.

The Instructor is responsible for planning, leading and supervising group classes (primarily those held during lunchtime and late afternoon). They foster a safe, motivating and inclusive environment while promoting an active and healthy lifestyle. The holder of this position masters some outdoor and sports disciplines such as cycling, strength, functional training.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Sciences, or a related field AND several years of experience in physical fitness evaluation and prescription or in a related field
Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
Current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Certificate
Current Lifesaving Society Advanced Instructor
Current Lifesaving Society Instructor Trainer (Asset)
Canadian Forces EXPRES Test - Incentive Level
Successful completion of the Principles of Healthy Child Development and Quest 2 certification, HIGH FIVE (by the end of probation)
Successful completion of the Personnel Support Programs (PSP) Instructor’s Course (by the end of probation)

In evaluating, planning and organizing the delivery of aquatic programs
In preparing and conducting physical fitness training sessions

PSP: Keep our Canadian Armed Forces operationally ready and their families and military community healthy as part of the team at Personnel Support Programs. Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.
