The Opportunity: This is an exciting time for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join the Middle School team, supporting the Assistant Head and engaging with students in the Middle School on a contract basis until February 2026. Reporting to the Assistant Head, Student Experience, 7 & 8, the successful candidate will coordinate and manage their calendar, provide support to the preparation of communication and newsletters, track budgets and serve as a first point of contact for the Middle School students and their families. The successful candidate provides support to student related activities and events, such as assemblies, Middle School events, Grade 8 year-end Celebration, Installation, and the Middle School concert. The incumbent will also be a welcoming and engaging adult presence for students in the Middle School providing support to the students with their passcards, uniforms, answering their questions and providing general care and supervision, as required. Additionally, the Assistant will monitor attendance within the cohort and assist the Assistant Head in following up with students and teachers as required. As a member of the broader Senior and Middle School team, the successful candidate will support the creation of the internal calendar. With the ability to manage multiple activities at the same time, the successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team as well as independently; while also demonstrating a commitment to our school values (Sense of Community, Inclusiveness, Creativity and Making a Difference), and to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Candidate Profile Are you someone who enjoys building a community for students and who thrives in a fast-paced environment? With strong communication and interpersonal skills, our ideal candidate builds strong relationships and engages with various stakeholders with a �can do� approach and a high level of customer service to all visitors of the Middle School. The successful candidate brings a high level of energy, willingness and flexibility to initiate and accomplish multiple tasks, has highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail. The successful candidate is tech savvy, possessing proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suites as well as the ability to learn new software with ease. The successful candidate will hold a post-secondary degree and/or a diploma in a related field with a minimum of three years of experience. Equivalent combinations of experience and education will be considered. Previous experience working in a school environment would be considered a strong asset.
