TechnologieAs a member of the FRTB product team, the position is primarily responsible for performing in-depth analysis and design to support the FRTB trading desk quantitative risk requirements. The business analyst is expected to answer to the extended scope of projects, audit requirements, ad hoc requests and expansion of the team’s responsibilities and mandate in the risk infrastructure area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead new initiatives end-to-end: Requirements elicitation in partnership with stakeholders; Solution design in consultation with technology partners (in-house and vendor); develop test strategy and test plan and perform User Acceptance test to ensure business and analytic requirements are correctly implemented
- Consult with stakeholders (front office, middle office, back office, credit) to understand the changes required; Ensure risk platforms used for risk capture are current and internally consistent; translate business requirements into development tasks, and ensure alignment of priorities
- Participate in the implementation process to ensure proper and timely implementation of system enhancements
- Prototyping with program language as of proof of concept or validation of system implementation of the business requirement related to data profiling, mapping, risk metrics calculation
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Market Risk knowledge (FRTB is preferred).
- Strong analytic and troubleshooting skills with a solution oriented attitude
- 3-5 years of experience within Capital Markets or Risk Management
- Technical understanding, including creating test plans and validating system changes.
- Project delivery experience, particularly in a development-focused environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
This role is located in Toronto with in-person office collaboration expected on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

As a member of the FRTB product team, the incumbent is primarily responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of FRTB capital and collaborating with stakeholder - including Front Office, Middle Office, Risk Technology, and other risk product teams - to identify and implement improvements in market risk capital calculations.
The incumbent is expected to work closely with technology partners and cross-functional product teams to drive implementation in an Agile environment by translating business solutions into technical requirements. Responsibilities include developing, executing, and validating test plans, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation according to plan.
Additionally, the incumbent will provide support for regulatory and audit reviews, ensuring compliance with evolving expectations and internal policies.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong learning mindset and a willingness to acquire new skills in emerging areas as needed.

Supports the planning and execution of system management infrastructure planning and development activities for a designated portfolio.
Supports development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including product enhancements; Initiative areas can include intake, requirements, design, development, testing, simulation, sign-offs, production and post-implementation activities.
Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
Represents the risk systems management function during internal/external regulatory audits and/or examinations.
Coordinates the management of databases; ensures alignment and integration of data in adherence with data governance standards.
Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
Builds change management plans of varying scope and type; leads or participates in a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives.
Guides/assists in the identification and classification of issues; recommends action plans.
Provides input into the planning and implementation of ongoing operational programs in support of the risk systems management.
Leads/participates in the design, implementation and management of core business/group processes.
Monitors the risk system technical infrastructure, applications and/or business transactions across the environment.
Collaborates with Technology service providers and other stakeholders to investigate, perform root cause analysis and plan corrective actions; follows production environment support processes and guidelines.
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives.
Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
Monitors and tracks performance and addresses any issues.
Tracks metrics and milestones, makes recommendations for resolution and escalates as appropriate when issues arise.
Analyzes data and information to provide insights and recommendations.

Supports the data reconciliation / provisioning processes between core risk systems.
Performs verification and monitoring activities for all changes implemented in the production environments according to guidelines and policies.

Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.

Qualifications:
Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
In-depth knowledge of risk system management concepts and applications.
In-depth knowledge & experience with risk policy frameworks; quality control / testing frameworks, omics.
Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.

Salaire :
$74,800.00 - $138,600.00Type de rémunération :
SalaireCe qui précède représente la fourchette et le type de rémunération de BMO Groupe financier.
Les salaires varieront en fonction de facteurs comme l’emplacement, les compétences, l’expérience, les études et les qualifications pour le poste et pourront inclure une structure de commissions. Les salaires pour les postes à temps partiel seront calculés au prorata du nombre d’heures travaillées régulièrement. Pour les rôles à commission, le salaire susmentionné représente la cible de BMO Groupe financier pour la première année au poste.
