Your Opportunity

Join our Canadian Tax team as a Project Specialist. You will be joining a team of recognized experts responsible for delivering the overall firm strategy; you will play an integral part in assisting the firm to deliver on strategic initiatives. This is a net new role, and the successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with local team leaders and project teams to track, monitor, and follow the progress of projects, action items, and business strategies that emanate from Partners
  • Anticipate the needs of the Partners and prioritization of their time by assisting with various tasks, managing follow-ups on action items and client requests
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for Partners
  • Work with members of the Tax Team to ensure all internal inquiries and requests are addressed on a timely basis
  • Allocate and manage relevant tasks among staff based on their experience level and workload
  • Engage and communicate with stakeholders, including senior management, cross functional teams, team members, and clients, to ensure alignment and support
  • Inspire and motivate team members to achieve project deadlines and objectives
  • Uphold high ethical standards, confidentiality and data security, especially when dealing with sensitive information
  • Perform other tasks as required

  • You will understand the industries BDO services and contribute to the group's advancement.
  • You will ensure work is complete, accurate and appropriately reviewed by maintaining the necessary technical knowledge and professional development.
  • You will recommend and implement quality or efficiency improvements to our engagements.
  • You will actively engage in communication with people leaders to ensure understanding of performance and development, while identifying and attracting top talent.
  • You will support our firm's revenue growth by referring clients to other services lines and new clients to BDO.

Your experience and education

  • Experience in project coordination, administrative or similar role
  • Degree/Diploma in business management, administration or a related field
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple demands effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly and articulately identify and define problems and develop creative solutions
  • Demonstrated project management success with a track record of delivering projects on-time and to specifications

The expected range of compensation for this role is $53,000 - $88,000 annually
