Acute Care Alberta is seeking a Reporting Lead, Acute Care Performance and Reporting to play a pivotal role in shaping real-time and strategic performance reporting across the acute care continuum. This position offers the opportunity to influence system-wide improvements, support executive decision-making, and contribute to better patient outcomes through data-driven strategies. Reporting to the Director, Real Time Acute Care Performance & Reporting, the Reporting Lead is responsible for planning, developing, and delivering high-quality performance reports, dashboards, and analytic products. This role ensures timely, accurate, and actionable information for internal and external stakeholders, supporting operational excellence and compliance. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior leaders, government ministries, and operational teams to meet capacity and flow reporting needs, leveraging advanced analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI. Working independently with minimal guidance, the Reporting Lead will design and maintain a reporting roadmap aligned with provincial healthcare priorities. Ensure adherence to data governance and privacy legislation while maintaining quality standards. Lead development of real-time and scheduled reports, dashboards, and predictive analytics. Build strong relationships across clinical, operational, and informatics teams to align reporting outputs with strategic goals. Mentor and supervise reporting analysts, fostering a high-performing team culture.

Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Statistics, Public Health, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years in performance reporting, analytics, or health system management, preferably within acute care or hospital settings. Proficiency in reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel, SQL, SAS, R). Familiarity with healthcare data standards, clinical information systems, and privacy regulations. Strong analytical thinking, data storytelling, leadership, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills. Strong project and time management skills.

High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality. Demonstrates resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, data-intensive environment. Creative problem-solving skills to develop short-term solutions that evolve into sustainable long-term strategies.

Knowledge of AHS analytics ecosystem and Connect Care/Epic (Epic certification considered an asset). Project Management Certification. Interest in emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning for operational analytics.
