You are:

A transformation maven with the skills to help clients meet the challenges of digitization. Your superpower? Using your know-how to solve clients’ most complex business problems to help their companies do more. You’re as comfortable working in teams and leading projects as you are diving into the details of workstreams and configuring SAP solutions. And you’re up for traveling regularly to client sites.

The work:

SAP RISE & Basis Operations

  • Act as the customer-side SAP Basis lead for systems hosted under RISE with SAP, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations without direct OS or database access.

  • Oversee SAP system health, availability, and performance using SAP-provided monitoring tools (SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager, SAP Early Watch Alerts).

  • Coordinate with SAP RISE operations for:

    • System availability and performance issues

    • SAP kernel updates, SPS upgrades, and HANA revisions (executed by SAP)

    • System refreshes, copies, and client strategies

    • Backup, restore, DR testing, and High Availability activities

  • Manage and validate transport management processes (STMS / ChaRM), ensuring alignment with SAP RISE change governance.

  • Review and approve SAP-executed changes to ensure business impact is understood and mitigated.

  • Perform application-level Basis activities still owned by customer/partner, including:

    • Client administration (as permitted)

    • RFC configuration and connectivity coordination

    • SAP profile parameter reviews (requesting changes via SAP)

    • Background job scheduling (business-level jobs)

  • Serve as the first-level technical reviewer before escalating incidents to SAP RISE support.

  • Ensure SAP RISE service delivery aligns with contracted SLAs and service scope.

  • Participate in SAP service reviews, technical governance meetings, and architecture discussions.

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the Client and SAP RISE support teams.

  • Coordinate incident management, problem resolution, service requests, and escalations with SAP.

  • Ensure adherence to SAP RISE SLAs, tracking KPIs and service performance.

  • Translate business and technical requirements between internal teams and SAP RISE.

  • Coordinate SAP upgrades, support packs, patches, and RISE-managed changes.

  • Support system refreshes, copies, and landscape transformations.

  • Ensure proper documentation, testing coordination, and support go-live.

  • Support SAP security coordination (authorizations, roles, user administration) in collaboration with SAP Security teams.

  • Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and SAP RISE governance requirements.

  • Review and manage access, connectivity, and interface configurations.

  • Proactively monitor system performance and recommend optimizations.

  • Analyze dumps, logs, and system issues, work with SAP RISE for root cause analysis.

  • Support capacity planning and performance tuning initiatives.

  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.

  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Participate in service reviews, architecture discussions, and roadmap planning.

Qualifications

Here’s what you need:

  • Minimum 6 years in SAP Basis with hands-on SAP RISE experience

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration (ABAP & Java stacks).

  • Proven experience working in SAP RISE (Private Cloud / Managed Services) environments.

  • SAP S/4HANA system administration and architecture understanding.

  • SAP HANA database fundamentals (monitoring, performance, backup/restore coordination).

  • Transport Management (STMS, ChaRM, CTS+).

  • Bachelor’s degree or completion of a college program in a related discipline

  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

Bonus points if:

  • Understanding of SAP Cloud ALM, SAP BTP (basic awareness).

  • Exposure to hyperscaler concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP) within SAP RISE.

  • Experience with system migrations or conversions to SAP S/4HANA under RISE.

  • SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP S/4HANA System Administration

  • SAP RISE with SAP or SAP Cloud-related certifications

  • SAP HANA Certification

  • SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP S/4HANA System Administration

  • SAP RISE with SAP or SAP Cloud-related certifications

  • SAP HANA Certification

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location,
role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time
employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.

The base pay range shown below is intended as a guideline to reflect the majority of offers for this role.
It does not represent a maximum limit - in some cases, actual compensation may exceed the range where appropriate.
