The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough.
It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools and other key destinations throughout the city.
The Accenture I&CP team is partnering with partnering to deliver the Scarborough Subway Extension project.
- Internal Title: Project Management IV)
- The Asset Handover Manager for Kennedy is responsible for coordinating and delivering all activities required to ensure the timely, accurate, and fully compliant handover of assets, systems, documentation, and operational deliverables from Metrolinx and its delivery partners to the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). The role works closely with the Scope and Readiness Director, Systems and Linewide Director, and Asset Delivery Director, as well as other members of the senior leadership team, to manage a unified, project-wide handover strategy.
- Handover Strategy, Planning & Governance
- Develop and maintain the Project Handover Plan integrating construction, systems installation, testing and commissioning, safety certification, and TTC acceptance milestones
- Establish acceptance criteria and approval workflows, and any other relevant governance to contribute to seamless and effective handover
- Ensure alignment with Metrolinx asset lifecycle requirements, TTC operational expectations and contract obligations
- Documentation, Configuration & Asset Information Management
- Oversee delivery of asset documentation including O&M manuals, as-builts, training materials, asset registers, warranties, and safety documentation
- Ensure compliance with TTC asset information standards and configuration control requirements
- Verify completeness and quality of documentation for TTC system uploads
- Testing & Commissioning Integration
- Collaborate with the Testing & Commissioning workstream to ensure commissioning outputs support TTC acceptance
- Confirm alignment between T&C stages and asset readiness for handover
- Coordinate review of test results, performance demonstrations, and trials
- Systems & Linewide Integration
- Partner with the Systems & Linewide Director to confirm readiness across tunnel fit-out, stations, traction power, communications, SCADA, FLS, and other systems
- Resolve interface issues affecting handover sequencing
- Track system-level readiness for TTC operational acceptance
- Stakeholder Management & Coordination
- Serve as the central handover coordination point between Client, TTC, and contractors
- Facilitate workshops, status reviews, and reporting with TTC operations, engineering, and maintenance teams
- Ensure contractors fulfill contractual handover requirements
- Acceptance & Readiness Verification
- Lead readiness reviews, inspections, and acceptance walkthroughs with TTC
- Track and close deficiencies, NCRs, documentation gaps, and commissioning issues
- Ensure the project meets conditions for TTC Operational Acceptance and Entry Into Service
- Risk, Issues & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and mitigate risks affecting handover timing, documentation quality, and commissioning interfaces
- Escalate critical issues affecting acceptance milestones
- Embed continuous improvement and lessons learned into handover processes
- Working Conditions
- Office-based (5 Days in Office)
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in major transit, rail, or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Experience leading asset handover, commissioning, or operational readiness activities
- Strong understanding of Testing & Commissioning processes and safety certification requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills, including work with operators such as TTC
- Ability to manage competing priorities, drive issue resolution, and influence contractors and partners
- Education:
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Asset Management, or related technical discipline, or relevant demonstrable experience
- Licenses OR Certifications:
- Holding a recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of prevailing Project Management methods
- Extensive knowledge of tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in Project Management software
- Must maintain professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices
- Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership
- Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities
- Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal)
- Expert ability to work collaboratively and independently in a structured, disciplined, technology-driven environment
- Proven capacity to anticipate, identify, and minimize risks
- Expert ability to detect, capitalize, and be sensitive to others' strengths
- Demonstrated capability to supervise, delegate, and develop capacity
- Tact to perceive and ameliorate conflict and tension
- Effectively leads multi-resource Project Management teams
- Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment by ensuring effective teamwork, promotion of innovation, and overall excellence
- Demonstrated functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
- Proven success in providing on-site leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.

The base pay range shown below is intended as a guideline to reflect the majority of offers for this role. It does not represent a maximum limit - in some cases, actual compensation may exceed the range where appropriate.

Ontario $141,000 to $211,000
