Full-Time Jr.High Math/Science
French Immersion Teacher
at
T. A. Norris Middle School
Peace River, Alberta
The school is located in the town of Peace River and serves students from grades 5-8. The school offers a high quality core academic program, consisting of English, French Immersion and French Second Language and a wide range of exploratory courses which include Art, Drama, Home Economics and Band. T.A. Norris also offers hockey and dance academies.
One Full-Time (1.0 f.t.e) Jr. High Math/Science French Immersion Teacher is required commencing August 28, 2024 and continuing until June 30, 2025. The initial assignment will include teaching Junior High level Math and Science.
Qualifications:
knowledge of the Alberta Program of Studies
knowledge of the French language
a commitment to student achievement
training and/or successful teaching experience
effective communication and classroom management skills
ability to work as part of a team
Requirements:
Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Provide an acceptance current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

This teaching position falls under the Collective Agreement between the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Peace River School Division.
Annual Salary Range:
$ 62, 702 to $ 105, 996 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Peace River School Division).
