QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Please clearly demonstrate on your cover letter and resume, how you meet the following qualifications and experience:
- Grade 12 graduation or equivalent;
- Experience working with youth;
- Post-secondary training in Exceptionalities Worker Program, Special Education, Teacher Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Services or Medical Services would be an asset;
- Experience integrating self-regulation and social-emotional care practices in the classroom is an asset.
- Experience with restorative justice in a classroom setting would be an asset.
- Experience working with neuro-diverse students will be an asset.

- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers and parents;
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment;
- Ability to work as a member of a team;
- Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
- Flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments;
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, establishing cooperative and authentic connections to support the best school experience possible;
- Desire and passion for developing and maintaining strong and respectful relationships and trust with students, their families, school staff, education workers, and the community as a whole.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Criminal Record/RCMP Check with Vulnerable Sector; to be provided before the first day of employment, dated no more than 3 months prior to your start date
- Standard First Aid Certificate or a willingness to complete within 3 months
- Completion of the Educational Assistant Module by the end of the school year
