OnSIS Administrator
Exempt Level 4 ( Salary - $63,702 - $81,639 per annum)
Position Summary:
The OnSIS Administrator is responsible for reviewing, analyzing and validating information entered into the Student Information System (SIS) and for submitting accurate student data to the Ontario Student Information System.
Major Responsibilities:
Analyze and verify student information to ensure accurate reports are submitted to the Ministry of Education, for the determination of applicable grants.
Interpret and administer Ministry of Education regulations and register rules as well as Board policies pertaining to student admissions criteria.
Identify, investigate and resolve any enrolment discrepancies with school staff as required and answer questions related to student information via email/telephone.
Generate internal reports and Ministry registers throughout the year in support of month-end and 3-times annual OnSIS reporting cycles.
Identify, troubleshoot and articulate SIS data/report issues for the submission of trouble tickets to the SIS Vendor.
Obtain and assign Ontario Education Numbers to all new students via the central provincial database.
Assist in the development of procedures, documentation and maintenance of processes that support the Student Information System data and Ministry Registers, for reconciliation and audit purposes.
Qualifications and Experience:
College diploma in Business or related field.
3-5 years of related experience.
Knowledge of Edsembli Student Information System.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
Excellent analytical and data management skills with attention to details and a desire to lead troubleshooting exercises.
Solid working level knowledge of Microsoft Office & Google Docs.
Self-motivated, able to work independently and multitask.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet reporting deadlines.
Experience in collection of school board enrolment data and other government processes.
