We are seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to lead the design, delivery, and evolution of scalable, secure cloud platforms. This role emphasizes architectural ownership, cloud strategy, governance, and close collaboration with application, security, and infrastructure teams to modernize workloads and enable business agility. This role is based onsite in Markham, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Architect and deliver secure, highly available solutions using IaaS, PaaS, container, and serverless patterns.
- Define cloud architecture standards including landing zones, account/subscription structure, identity, networking, and governance models.
- Lead cloud strategy and migrations from on-premises and between cloud providers, including assessments, reference architectures, and execution oversight.
- Design and govern infrastructure as code using Terraform as a primary tool, with supporting use of Bicep/ARM and CloudFormation where appropriate.
- Establish CI/CD and platform automation standards using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and cloud-native tooling.
- Partner with security teams to embed identity, access control, encryption, logging, and compliance across all cloud platforms.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, design authorities, documentation, and mentoring of engineers.
- Optimize cost, performance, and reliability across clouds through FinOps practices, rightsizing, and observability.
An Ideal Qualifications Will Include:
- 8+ years of cloud and infrastructure experience with at least 3 years in an architecture-focused role.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating solutions in at least two major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Strong infrastructure as code expertise with Terraform and modular design practices.
- Deep understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security concepts across providers.
- Experience with Kubernetes platforms such as AKS, EKS, or GKE.
- Ability to translate business requirements into pragmatic, scalable cloud architectures.
Preferred Qualifications: - Cloud certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience with enterprise governance, compliance frameworks, and regulated environments.
- Exposure to hybrid connectivity, data platforms, and integration patterns.
