Role Overview
The Financial Analyst, Network FP&A supports financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for Network operations and capital programs. This role partners closely with senior FP&A team members and Network stakeholders to deliver accurate forecasts, clear reporting, and meaningful insights that support day‑to‑day and longer‑term decision‑making.
The analyst will play a hands‑on role in budget management, variance analysis, and financial modeling, helping ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment between financial results and operational activity across Xplore’s growing network footprint. This role provides core analytical and forecasting support that enables strong financial discipline and informed decision-making as Xplore continues to invest in and expand its national network.
Key responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Support the development of Network OPEX and CAPEX budgets, forecasts, and outlooks
- Maintain and update financial models, assumptions, and forecast drivers
- Assist with scenario analysis to assess impacts of changes in scope, timing, or costs
- Ensure forecasts reflect the latest operational, program, and project information
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare monthly variance analysis, identifying key drivers versus budget and forecast
- Produce clear, accurate, and timely financial reports for FP&A and Network leadership
- Reconcile actuals, accruals, and forecasts to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Help maintain a single source of truth for financial data and reporting
Business Support & Collaboration
- Work with Network teams (Engineering, Construction, Operations, Program Management) to gather inputs and validate assumptions
- Support business cases and financial analysis for Network initiatives and programs
- Respond to ad‑hoc financial analysis requests as needed
Process Improvement
- Support improvements to forecasting, reporting, and planning processes
- Help reduce manual work through better templates, tools, and standardization
- Contribute to documentation and team best practices
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience supporting CAPEX or project‑based financial analysis
- Exposure to enterprise financial systems (e.g., SAP or similar)
- Progress toward a CPA, CFA, or other finance designation
- Analytical and structured thinker
- Clear communicator who can explain financial information simply
- Collaborative and proactive working style
- Comfortable working with evolving assumptions and incomplete information
- Strong ownership of deliverables and data quality
