Clinical Support Services, Winnipeg School Division, provides a wide range of multi-disciplinary services, delivered within a three-tiered model of support, that help meet the educational, social, emotional and communication needs of students while working collaboratively with schools and families.



Guided by a framework rooted in decolonization, reconciliation, Indigenous ways of knowing, and anti-racist/anti-oppressive pedagogy, the school social worker applies a strengths-based, student-centered and inclusive approach to remove barriers to student learning and support the success of students and families. Through culturally responsive and trauma informed assessments, personalized programming, therapeutic interventions, and professional consultation, the school social worker fosters meaningful change that aligns with the division’s priorities.





Qualifications:

  • Must be registered with the Manitoba College of Social Workers.
  • Must have bachelor's degree in social work . Preference will be given to candidates with a master's degree in social work.
  • Must be eligible for or in possession of a current School Clinician Certificate in Social Work.
  • Valid Class 5 drivers’ license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
  • The successful candidate should demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience in navigating systems that support families, including the child welfare system.
  • This position requires a social worker who is an active and visible participant within a school environment and can collaborate and communicate effectively on a multi-disciplinary team.
